Maclin
We’ve been to the vet on and off since September of last year. Initial symptoms were sneezing, green mucous out of the nose and eyes and raspy breathing.
He’s had 2 rounds of antibiotics, a round anti fungal, and a round of steroids.

We’ve also tried eye lube for “dry eyes” and Benedryl for allergies with no luck in helping.

He gets better on the meds but a few days later the symptoms come back. Right now he has mucous in the eyes and nose and keeps closing his eyes. No sneezing though and nose raspy breathing. He just finished his last round on antibiotics a week ago.

His blood work also came back perfect. He’s 9.5 years old so I was a little surprised by that.

He just started holding his eyes like the picture shows.

I’m calling the vet for a second opinion tomorrow but I’ll take any ideas and thoughts.

And *NO* raspy breathing right now.

I'm assuming that you have considered allergies. Have you tried changing food? To Duck,Venison or Kangaroo? Tried an air cleaner?wiping paws after grass?, adding probiotics to his diet?If he has severe allergies, antibiotics would not help. Just a thought. Or even tried another veterinarian....So sorry for this poor fella'(and for you...)

I recall Nyala as a pup she had “sneezing, green mucous out of the nose, eyes and coughing up green snots” Vet gave antibiotics. 2nd round wasn’t going to happen. What I did is at night, I used a diffuser and added eucalyptus, peppermint, tea tree and lavender. I would lock her up in the kennel at bed time, put a towel on top of the kennel but left a section open so the mist falls back into the kennel, Took approximately 2-3 days and everything gone. I do keep to this day a diffuser going a few times a week. She’s also 9.5yrs old.

How is his water intake?

A second option is definitely needed.. seems like it could be a few things but they eyes having green (looks it in photo) concerns me…. Maybe eyelashes are turned in?

If you have a canine opthalmologist I would call them. Sophie had terrible problems with her eyes and it could be very painful. Bulldogs do tend to get entropion quite often, where the eyelids curl in and it can cause ulcers. If you can't get to an actual opthalmologist, a regular vet should be staining his eyes to check for ulcers.
