Hi , its my first time posting here as i thought i would ask fellow bulldog owners there thoughts.
my english bull dog has had this scally like lump come up on his lower front leg above his paw. He was prescribed Isaderm gel but had no effect i took him to a second vet for a second opinion and he said it could be a calluses as when he sleeps he tends to tuck his paws underneath him. Over the last 2-3 weeks he has started to get the same kind of lump and redness on his other paw. Any advice is more than welcome or if you have seen this before i would love some guidance.
Tha k you in advance.

Not sure. @Jbrewer did the vets do a scrape test or a blood test and sent it to the lab to rule out cancer? I’m NOT saying it’s cancer either but if it’s ruled out, why not. When dogs get any lumps or redness, most of the time it’s an immune deficiency. It needs to be buildup with minerals to clean up the system. Like raw diet or liver slices used as a topper on kibbles, fermented foods like sauerkraut.

If everything is ruled out, I would recommend NuStock. Ointment that smells but definitely will work to remove redness and soothe the sore. Also regrows hair.

It may be a possible lick granuloma.(sp?) If so, she may be bored and licking too much. I would wash it with anti bacterial soap, dry it, apply NuStock, and wrap it so she can't lick. Some cbd or other calming product may help.
Others will have other suggesions.

Looks like the beginning of a Lick Granuloma. Wrap with Vet wrap...after applying Nustock. IOW, do what Manydogs suggested. Also, try to find the cause of the licking. Could be allergy, or anxiety...who knows.

Thank you all for your advice, i did take him to the vets and he said it could be a tumour but i then took him to a different vet for a 2nd opinion and he thinks the lump on his lower right leg could be a calluses as when he sleeps he bends his paws over and underneath him. He had blood tests and the results came back all fine. At the moment hes been prescribed a steroid spray, if this doesn’t work then i will try the Nu Stock as seeing photos of lick granuloma it does look really similar. Thank you all again for the advice and will keep you updated.
