Is it safe for dogs to cook with Cast Iron Pans?

Since cooking on cast iron can cause increases in Iron absorption, was wondering if that would still be okay to use the pan to cook with for my bullies? Anyone use a cast iron pan for their home cooking?

honestly, henny, every time i let ruggles and buster cook there is never anything left to put in the oven

I am sure its fine. I have read that more iron is released from pan when cooking acidic ingredients, like tomatos.
