What to do if you suspect heat stroke:
1. DO NOT WASTE TIME POSTING ON FACEBOOK!
2. Send someone to the car to start and turn on AC full blast.
3. Tub quickly: place cool wet towels over head and back (not cold)
4. DO NOT GIVE ICE WATER. Only cool water.
5. Pour alcohol (Isopropyl, not ETOH) on his foot pads, under arm pits and groin.
6. Squirt lemon juice on his tongue (not in the back of his throat), if phlegm gets thick.
7. Carry him to the car, DO NOT LET HIM WALK OR EXPEND ANY MORE ENERGY! He's already using all of his trying to survive. Keep towels on him, bring alcohol and lemon juice with you. Pour alcohol on towels if necessary.
8. Get to the ER vet, DO NOT WAIT TO SEE IF IT STOPS, it is already be too late. His organs are already starting to shut down, his throat is swelling and he's having even more difficulty moving air......it's a vicious downward cycle.
9. He may begin to have seizures.
10. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY

Number 1 is spot on!

Thank you for posting this excellent advice.

Have already heard of several deaths and we're not
even in the hottest part of summer yet. People do not
realize how quickly this happens and do not understand
once it starts you can't just turn the process off. To make
matters worse some bulldogs have extremely narrow wind
pipes, no bigger than a straw. Try sucking air thru that!

Praying safety over our members & each precious bully!

GREAT information to be shared.

Watch your babies... it only takes a short period of time for this to happen

Thank you. Great information.
