I know this may seem silly, but it's a huge relief.

You see about three years ago now he was at an awful doggie daycare that a friend of mine recommended so I didn't do my own investigating. The closed the dogs in bedroom sized rooms with regular doors and no humans inside of the rooms to monitor the behavior. This caused intense separation anxiety in Lou which led to him getting in fights on two occasions, and biting a person. So the interview process for a new doggie daycare is always scary and a little embarrassing.

Since then he's been through an intense 10-day training course, and we have much stricter rules in the house to remind him that we're the alpha dog. It seems to be working.

This weekend, we had to take Lou to a new doggie daycare to be interviewed because, my husband got a job about 20 miles in the opposite direction from our current doggie daycare. And he passed. He was as lovable and well-behaved as ever. :excited:

Thank goodness - that's a huge weight off our shoulders! Now we have a place to take him a couple days a week while we're at work.

Hooray!

:bravo: great job Lou!!!

Too cool, congrats. :2thumbs:

Congrats! Great thing you found out about that other daycare. What a horrible way to run one!

Congrats Lou! Please watch for any changes in his behavior once he's there...and make sure to tell them he is not to be left outside in the heat!
I've heard too many horror stories - one is too many - so just a friendly reminder.
Good luck!
