Frank is sick :(

Good to hear he's better and that he ate!

thank you to EVERYONE for your well wishes and prayers. it was much needed :) thank you!!!

I am late-but happy to hear that Frank is on the mend!!:)

So... We have regressed. Frank won't touch his dry food unless we mix wet food into it. This is such an odd and sudden behavior for him. Do dogs really just suddenly not like their food?

No....I think it has to do with some sort of underlying problem. When they don't eat it's because they don't feel good IMO. Has he pooped?

Yes he has pooped and he will eat wet food and other treats but he won't eat his normal kibble. We switched him 3 weeks ago from blue chicken to canidae salmon and mackerel.

We mixed wet food in it and he actually ate around the kibble and dropped pieces of it on the ground to get to the wet food.

He will also eat his dry biscuit treats no problem.

He could be allergic to the salmon/mackerel and instinctively avoiding
it. It's usually not the fish they're allergic to but the perservative they
use to keep the fish from going rancid, very common issue. Take him
off kibble and feed old kibble (did he have issue w/chicken) or feed a
bland diet for a couple weeks of boiled hamburger (drain fat) & white
rice then add new kibble. If he starts throwing up, it's the new kibble
causing the problem. Hoping you find the cause asap!

I hope he feels better soon! It's always so stressful to see them sick -- so I hope you feel better also!

So glad he's eating! Sounds like just an upset tummy, Thank God! It happens to people sometimes, it can happen to doggies too! He probably ate something weird off the floor... bullies are known for that! haha I'm so relieved he's okay!
