Our boy Vader (2yo) vomits everyday after eating, we figured it’s the way he’s built. He has a raised bowl, changed to gently cooked from raw), changed to frequent smaller meals, and has a clean bill of health. Sorry for this, but vet said let him lick it up which we don’t mind. That’s not our major concern. What our issue is at times he gets up in the middle of the night and vomits. It used to be every night. We have tried antacids. It’s has lessened to about twice a week. We plan to also take him for a second BOAS procedure. At this point we have tried everything. I’m okay cleaning up after him but wanted to see if there is anyone with similar issues. Thank you. šŸ™

@oscarmayer … could it be megaesophagus?

I have no experience but it might be megaE. Hopefully Chip can give some insight

Have you tried removing his raised bowl and just put the bowl on the floor? Sometimes raised bowl can lead to digestive issues cause food and water travel too quickly through the digestive system. Does he eat fast? Does he drink right after eating? If he drinks right after, maybe try giving him water later.

Never used raised bowls, Jeffo has three meals a day, about 500gr. The three meals are then split into three, a couple of minuets apart, that stopped him vomiting. Anything that goes into his bowl, he eats rapid, hence the reason for splitting the meals, don't let him drink to much, after eating. Hope this helps.

My Jake use too inhale his food. One meal per day which was 1lb of raw per day gone within a few seconds. So I took out my previous EB’s slow feeder out cause him too inhaled his food. The bowl in the attached photo is what I used and it basically took him an extra 5mins. It truly made a big difference.
