Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I have a 7.5 month old male English bulldog (first English Bulldog I've owned after a lifetime of pugs).
Currently, he is on Propac puppy which the breeder gave to me when I got him.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a different kind?
There isn't anything wrong with the Propac, but I just don't know if it is the best for bulldogs, as he is my first one.
No allergies that we are aware of as of now.
He poops normally, is healthy.

(He does have the smelliest poops ever. Very hyper. Drinks A LOT. Pees A LOT. Not sure if this has to do with the food.)

Castor says hi to Wilson! He looks absolutely adorable - we want to see more pictures :D Regarding the kibble, I will let others answer!

Welcome to EBN!

If you are feeding kibble.. here are the five most bulldogs do well with:

No particular order.. all grain free

Acana
Earthborn holistic
Orijen
Fromm
Zingnature

Other options are dehydrated raw.. The honest kitchen or Spot farms

Avoid chicken and grains as bulldogs tend to have allergies to them

The five we currently have in house are eating Zignature Duck. We switch from Acana Duck to save $10/bag. All of the rescues we've had come through eat the same thing. No food related issues to this day.

Subscribe to the dog food advisor as most of us did in here. They keep you up to date on all recalls. Also good for owners to know the quality of their kibbles. As 2BullyMama ‘s mentioned in her post, these kibbles are all high quality.

I like to start with one protein per bag to monitor if any allergies. Like that you will know what your puppy can have or not. That’s IF any allergies.. Acana also has tripe which is a great probiotic which all dogs needs.
