Could be a deep ear infection... did you have vet check?

We did take him to the vet a couple days after this started and she looked in his ears and said they looked fine. Is it possible to have an ear infection and have no symptoms in the outer ear?

Yes it is totally possible and not uncommon at all. I would keep an eye on him and continue to video when these occur it could also be possible it is a type of small seizure but show the video to your your vet and see what their thoughts are.
