Hi everyone! I’m new here. We purchased a 5 month old English Bulldog yesterday. Once I saw him, I couldn’t say No. even though he doesn’t look like the typical EB, he’s the sweetest thing ever. His head is ALOT smaller than his body. His muzzle is longer and he has a severe overbite. I’ll be taking him to my vet this week. But just wanted some other EB professional opinions as what he could possibly be mixed with. I know they all look different. We have an almost 8 year old EB. His body structure is similar. It’s just his facial features differ a lot from hers. Either way, we love him to pieces!

KC711 :welcome2: Your baby is a cutie! If he is not all English, he is alot! Most English bulldogs have an underbite- an overbite would be unusual! His head will grow, and his feet look enormous.:) He may grow to be a big boy(they come in all sizes!) If his muzzle is a little longer, that is a good thing, as he can breathe easier. We are happy to have you all here, and you will love him, no matter what! I have 3 EBD's, and they are all AKC, and each one is different!

oh my gosh hes adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is a cutie, but you are right he is mixed with something, there is no such thing as a black and tan, merle, lilac, blue, or chocolate, purebred English Bulldog. Unethical breeders breeding for money only. Sorry to be blunt, but it's the truth.

KC711 my brindle looked like that when she was that age... she’s a Bantam Bulldogge. They’ve been around since 1800’s.
They are just another type of EB. Like yours, her nose is a tad longer n smaller face. But you know, her breathing is a lot better than Duke my white face when they play non stop. I have to give Duke time out after 30mins. Enjoy your cutie pie n WELCOME!!!

BANTAM BULLDOGGE GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Bantam Bulldog is what the English Bulldog looked like back in the early 1800's when the bulldog that had been used for bull and bear baiting had been bred down in size to a small bulldog weighing between 20 and 40 pounds.
