Hello,
Happy Tuesday!
I am going to be purchasing a puppy soon and he has one limp ear and one rose bud ear.
He will be 8 weeks when I get him.
His dad has big floppy ears, and his mom has rose bud ears.
I love the look of floppy ears, so is there I way to humanely and safely make the other more floppy?
TIA! :-)

A bulldog’s ears are supposed to be rosed per the AKC standard. Some will rose naturally and breeders that breed to the standard and show their dogs will glue the ears at 8 weeks to help them rose. I am not aware of any way to make a rosed ear unrose.

a lot of breeder

Ive seen videos breeders will use glue to form a rose bud till the cartilage forms. Then it‘s clean off. Doesn’t harm the dog either. But that’s up to you what you want to do.

Ideally, but I know his other floppy ear may rose bud.
It’s not a big big deal to me, just wasn’t sure if the glue method would work I’m a reverse way?
Like If I glue it down floppy will or stay floppy lol.
But then what if his other ear roses too.
I may just leave it.

If it were me, I would want the rose ears as I show my bulldogs and breed and support the AKC standard 100%.

It would be better to glue the flop ear to form a rose at this point. For aesthetics only, matching ears look best. I don't think you'd be able to form a flop ear from a natural rose ear.
