Just letting everyone know that Dudleys home after his surgery and everything went very well:) the vet was very happy with the opp and his recovery today. Now just got to keep him calm for 3 months :w00t: as you can see our front room is now Dudley proofed! Cage for sleeping quilts on floor for us all to sit on and dinning room chairs on the settee so he doesn’t get up ( or us !) 71937A62-0DFE-4E64-B2AD-236A6B212B32.jpeg

Zedsded Hurray for Dudley!! Good news that all went well, and it is done! Now the "fun" begins.:drink:

So good to see him on the loooong road to recovery. Slow and steady is best. Be sure to cut back on his food since his activity level is now reduced during recovery. The last thing he needs is unnecessary weight to lug around on a healing limb.

Hes been in smaller rations for the past 8 weeks already because he was getting hardly any excercise to try and rest his leg so he actually lost 2lbs. We have done all the research on recovery so knew exactly what is expected but Bulldogs really dont help themselves in any way !! :fie: keep them calm :fie:
We just feel so sorry for him because you can see he just wants to carry on as normal but obviously he cant, and we wont let him. He looks so depressed! But we just keep telling ourselves it all for the best and next February when he can walk on the beach with us again it will all be worth it for him, he loves the beach.

He is looking good. Just to echo what has been already said...No running, jumping, climbing, horsing around, etc. Many of us know what you are going through. For us, Jewel twice and Bentley once.

Thanks again for the advice, yes we know all the does and donts we just feel so bad for him. For the forseable future we are in lockdown  its like been in quaranteen! We are not allowing anyone around to the house because even if he was in his cage he would still hurt himself trying to get out to see the visiter! And we are struggling leaving the house so he isnt excited when we get back!

I dont know how you have managed all this 3 times! Nightmare!
