Do you give your bully heartworm preventative?

I'm curious as to how many people give their bullys heart worm preventative.

I do. Matter of fact I realized yesterday that I missed this month's dose. I will give it to her on the first of the month. Need to set a reminder for myself.

Mine have been on Sentinel since they were little so I keep using it...I like that it prevents development of flea eggs.

I don't, but the boys get checked annually for them. They got a clean bill of health for this year. I did inquire if checking for them twice a year is a good idea seeing they don't take any preventatives (except for acv) and she said that we could, but the second test won't show anything seeing that it'll take a few months for heartworm to manifest and the month of May is when it's best to check.

Yes we have all of ours on Sentinel year round.

I live in New Jersey where the State Bird is the mosquito, so yes.....Tubs gets treated once a month all year round!!!!

we live in Michigan, so mosquitoes are horrendous! The boys are on Heartgard

Yes! Tonka has been on Heartguard since we got him. He gets his the 15th of every month along with his flea/tick (Frontline Plus). Lots of mosquitoes in WI!

Heartguard year round, and will forever. Once you see a dog with heartworm suffer...and it takes just ONE mosquito, you would never let that happen to yours. No judgement, just opinion

The vet gave me Frontline Plus for Lily. I haven't used it yet.
