Do you always see the same doctor at the vet?

my husband made Chester's appt for his rabies/checkup for tomorrow. They call to confirm and it's with a doctor Chester has never seen! I asked him why he didn't make it with Chester's doctor.. and he asked me if it matter Well..to me it does..I told him we always make the pediatrician appt with one particular MD. So, he called back and changed it.. so Chessie has a few day reprieve for the "butt shot"

I recommend trying to see the same dr every time because he knows Chester and his history best. I made the mistake of always booking Saturday appts for Stig and always had a different dr. I'm convinced his original dr wouldn't have prescribed 4 months worth of mange meds and, instead, would have said 'let's try this food first because mange can be fought back by boosting his immune system'. I remember that he looked so surprised when he saw Stig's file when we finally saw him again with everything the Sat vets recorded.

No I dont,and I hate. It shouldnt be like that. I get there and there is some woman I havent seen before. I have to make appointments after 4:30 because that is when I get off work,but there is always some new person. Not cool! (you can tell I am not very happy with that Vets office)

There is only 1 vet at the office I take the girls to. It is like a family, everyone knows us and loves to see the bullies come. I even see the same vet techs. Life is good at Creekside.

We recently moved all our critters to a new vet that is a 1 vet hospital. In fact, she used to be at our old vets and went out on her own. Her husband is radiologist and all around everything! Small and wonderful. It's even called family dog and cat hospital..perfect name for perfect place. Of the 5pups in jakes litter..4go to her. Get to see everyone and watch pups progress.

It depends on which house I am at at the time...If I am in Southern Illinois I see one vet there...he is a friend and the person I got Bertie from. If I am at my house where my business is located at, I see one of 2 vets and I don't mind....My regular vet (who I like to call Bertie's Primary Care Physician) or his daughter...she always consults with him about everything, so I like her alot. When I am at the condo in FL, I see one vet.

When we first use a vet practice...I actually like to see all the vets to get a feel for which one I like best. Then...I ask for that particular vet from then on out. Now...it's not an issue with the bulldogs. But the owner of the practice...will STEAL Ahsoka's vet appointments! At first I was annoyed due to I really like Dr. Stacey BUT...he "loves" Ahsoka and goes on and on about her. His brother has an Australian Shepherd. And he cares for a kennel of them. But...they are not from the show line...and he's impressed with the looks of my baby girl. So how can I be upset over him stealing my vet's appointment? But for the bulldogs I do prefer Dr. Stacey.

Our old vet office my favorite doc...left and they wouldn't tell me where he was practicing. Which was frustrating to say the least. Now...we're closer and I really LOVE Dr. Stacey. She doesn't mind tongue lashings from Ahsoka either...

Our vets is run by one person and so we always see her. The vet techs and the receptionists are all the same too so they have all got to know Maggie and Daddy very well. Once we took Maggie with an ear infection and our normal vet must have been on vacation because it was quite a shock to see another girl there. We didn't like it at all ....

At first we didnt but after a bad exp. with a guy there we started requesting the woman we had the first time. We complained to her a bit about how we didnt think he knew much about eb's. Later I found out she has the same last name as him lol, dont know if we complained about her husband to her or a relative. She has been great everytime tho.

I wouldn't blame you for always wanting to see the same doctor is thats possible. I don't always see the same doctor with Samson because it's just not always possible. I go to a large animal hospital which has it's pros and cons. Pros it's a 24 hour facility, offers a wide variety of different services from kenneling, grooming, open 24 hours, they have their own lab, pharmacy, state of the art equipment, it's a real nice place and they give excellent care. But because they are so big they have alot of doctors and its not always easy to have the same doctor each time.

WE ONLY see Dr Philips. We always ahve the same vet tech too. I have a card with her name and direct line to reach her . It is really nice, if I ever have any problems ,she knows exactly who my dog is. There are 2 vets at the practice but Philips is a bulldog specialist so no reason to see the other vet.

Oliver and Sebastian only see Dr. Bauer. She specializes in bulldogs and in her personal exam room, it is full of bully knick knacks and pictures.

Mack and Ruggles see the same vet all of the time. He also lives in our neighborhood which could be handy!
