Samson went in for surgery at 9:00 - they gave him a mild sedative at 8:30. The surgery lasted 1 hour, they were able to fix the cherry eye and corneal ulcer using his own cornea and grafting it over the ulcer. He made it out of surgery with 0 complications! They used isoflurane and kept the tube in his throat until he was biting at it to get it out. It made me feel great to know that they operate on about 5 bulldogs a week and are very familiar with the breed and how sensitive they can be when put out. We were on the road by 10:45 or so and are now back home. Praise the Lord that he made it out well!!!!
