Hi guys , just came back with Lily from the vets as she developed cherry eye 2 days ago - we got some eye drops ,and in vew weeks she will have a small "tuck in" op for her cherry eye vet also noticed that her breathing is heavy when sitting and doing nothing and suggested that she could benefit with widening nostrils op-have any of you bulldogs had it done? (i wondering if nose scar will be visible )
Many thanks

Lola had her nostrils widened about a month ago, along with an elongated palate correction. the absorbable stitches are still there, but there are no scars, all is healing to black nose. all of it helped Lola. good luck with your surgeries!

I have experience with two bullies having the nosrils widened.... no issues at all, and it was a great help to their breathing

Thank you for your responses ,most probably Lily will have "cherry tuck" ;-) and nostrils widening at the same time -next week we will have a check up with the vet as little one have to take an eye drops .
poor Lily looks like she have as bad luck as rest of us ;/

i did a cherry tuck...it went well. ...at time i might see it look like it want to surface and i just close his eye and massage it in

im hoping that the cherry tuck will be enough - fingers crossed
Thank you all again for all your replies - means a lot to me

Good Luck wit her surgeries. We opted for removal of Billys cherry eyes as they were so bad. but Iknow of people who have had a lot of success with the tucks.

Otis had both eyes - glands removed and no problems. Our vet would not do the tuck method at all and I didn't want to go that route anyway. Best of luck to you

Buster had cherry eye tucks in both eyes a few weeks ago and they healed beautifully. He will have his nares lasered when he gets neutered. Good luck. Nostril and palate surgeries for Bullies can make such a difference to their breathing if recommended by a knowledgeable experienced Bully vet.

Poor Dear.... Fingers crossed for her, and her little hearts in my thoughts and prayers, know she will be fine once she gets through all this !!

Thank you ;-) we will try the tuck in first and hope that this will solve the problem -but success rate isn't big, failing that she will have her cherry removed xxx

I don't have any experience, I just wanted to say good luck!
