Well! what a terrible morning. Some of you have probably seen my posts about our Dudleys CCL operation and his current recovery which happened to be exactly 6 weeks through his 12 week rest period yesterday at which point we allowed ourselves to feel like it was down hill towards the finish line.

Nope! Last night for the first time ever Dudley tried to go for his bedtime pee and was squatting for ages but just couldn't go, we put it down to probably the new type of worming tablet we had given him earlier effected him somehow. Fast forward to 4 am and he's crying to go out, same again but tried even longer. I stopped up with him because i was worried and he did it again only this time he laid flat outside and would not move an inch, not even for his favourite treats, it was really weird like he was frozen stiff.

Straight round to the vets, X-Rays and a bowel flush to ease his pain and by 9.30am he was in surgery again to have kidney stones removed! We have obviously been worried stiff again until we received the call from the vets saying everything went very well and they are keeping him in overnight for observation.

So now we have double recuperation from two ops! poor little man just want him home now.

Poor guy! And you! But thankfully you knew something wasn’t right and caught it quite quickly before anything bad happened.

Well wishes for a speedy recovery!

OH my!!! Poor Dudley!!! Poor you too!! How scary for sure! I hope that he has a speedy and uneventful recovery, so happy that surgery over and he came through OK. Try not to be too worried tonight, I am sure you'll miss him until he's home. Please keep us posted!!

OMG! This is mighty bad! Poor baby! Must be so painful for him! And so scary for you guys! Get well soon Dudley, we pray for you!

Just rung the vets and he's up and about and in the words of the vet " He's got a lot about him, hasn't he " I said yes because he never realises he is ill! Hopefully we can pick him up tomorrow afternoon.

Poor Dudley; Castor sends him a big hug and hopes he'll be better soon.

What a night! sending lots of healing thoughts and prayer to Dudley -- get some rest while you can, he will keep you up once he his home.

((hugs))

Hope you are feeling better, Dudley!

Dudley’s making sure to keep you guys on your toes. I see a lot of pampering when he gets home

OMG I'm SO sorry... I get kidney stones, and the pain is unbearable. I hope that Dudley comes home soon, and feels much better!!!

You may be surprised at how fast he recovers from the UT surgery.
Mend soon, little fella

Quick update everyone, Dudleys home which is great but have to say it’s really hard to see him obviously in some pain even with the medication he’s on. He’s just not himself and we have never seen him like this. He even ignored his favourite meat treat at first but my wife managed to hand feed him some of his meat a bit later which made us feel a bit better for him.
Vet said it’s normal because of the procedure he’s been through but still so hard to see him like this. We’ve already decided we’re sleepind downstairs with him tonight because he needs to pee a lot at the moment and don’t want him having to cry to get us up.

Oh poor baby! Hate when dogs are in pain. They are so innocent and don’t deserve it. Dudley, we love you and wish you quick recovery! Sending healing prayers and hugs to Dudley and you guys!

Tons of healing prayers and thoughts for Sir Dudley
