Well I've been browsing for the last few days. There were a few threads that I though I could contribute to so I thought I should register. I don't currently own a EBD but the plan is to have one sometime this year. I am new to the breed so I'm doing my research and this site has helped tremendously. I'm not necessarily new to dogs though. As a child I was owed by a pitbull, doberman and bouvier but as an adult I was owned by cocker spaniels and most recently a yorkie. So an EBD will be somewhat new territory.

We've chosen a breeder already and our puppy won't be ready until August since the litter is still in it's planning stages. We've built a great relationship thus far with our breeder and hope that our new addition will be just as great.

We live in Atlanta, (my daughter and I) and look forward to chatting with you guys.

Welcome to the site and you have come to an excellent place to learn about bullies, and make some new friends. So make yourself at home and when you get your pup, we will be looking forward in seeing pics of him/her.

:welcome3: Bravo on doing your research before getting your baby. I hope when you do he/she is everything you hope for. Most of us around here have found that to be true.

Welcome, I did the same thing and this group is very helpful and knowledgeable. I'm anxious for you because the Bullies are definately different from other breeds but well worth the extra effort. Remember we love picts!

welcome rachaelj. this is an excellent place to learn about english bulldogs and make good friends, too. sorry it is all lower case but my little half oeb half frenchie, buster, is snuggled in my left arm.

You're a wise woman to be doing your homework before your bully is born. Welcome to this site. There's a wealth of info here so please dig in!

:smileywelcome:

I truly admire families like you that don't jump into it. It took me a long time to learn that lesson myself over the years! Welcome to EBN!

Love when research is done prior to the commitment.... Bulldogs are a very different world -- they are beyond wonderful but come with a great deal of maintenance; however, it will all be soooooooo worth it.

Bestest snugglers in the world.

:welcome3:

Welcome! It's wonderful that you have established a relationship with a breeder and have done your homework! I was in Buckhead just last month. LOVE Atlanta and have very good friends there (our house guests last weekend live in Alpharetta). We are so glad you are here!

When I lost my 4 year old EB to heart failure, I said "NEVER AGAIN". But that nagging feeling that you're missing something --- and something might be missing you --- returned and, like you, months of research and referrals up the yang and little Bea came home. She's three now. Bo followed a year later; a puppy from rescue. Everyday I acknowledge how lucky I feel and how empty and meaningless my life would be without these two messing it up all the time.

Welcome. Thank you for doing your research. Choosing a breeder is THE MOST important thing to consider when adding a puppy to your family. Those breeders that breed for health and temperament --- and an obvious love of the breed ---- help you start your journey with the best possible outcome in mind; a happy healthy bully for many many years.

Welcome to EBN, and look forward to getting to know you and then in the future your new puppie.
