I honestly don't know what triggered it. It could have been with the skateboard. I know it's so easy for them to get injured and a lot of the time you don't even see it. But the skateboard wasn't moving at any speed. He just extended out and kind of stretched his front arms in front of it. On the way to Asbury Park we had to come to a sudden stop in traffic and he was in the back seat so he slid forward. So if anything, skateboard may have started the issue, car ride aggravate the issue and by Sunday he started showing signs of pain.
Today he has been better. He hasn't cried out at all. He just grunts loudly when trying to get up, especially after sleeping the whole night. This morning when he got up he placed no weight on the right foot and slowly he allowed himself to place some weight on it. I continue to believe it is a knee issue. This has been a terrible week. My gf lost her sister on Monday and he can sense the sadness in the house and he is trying so hard to comfort her.
I am going to hold off on MRI or orthopedic for just a few more days and see if he continues to get better. I was told there is a orthopedist in Fairfield, the place is called AERA I think. What is the name of the place in Clifton? Moose's regular doc is on the list of recommended bulldog vets in NJ - she's got 3 bullies herself so she knows alot about the breed.
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and help.
