Every since my female Roxie started having seizures and showed weakness Tyson has been growling at her every chance he gets and try's to start a fight with her. They have never gotten along like best friends but this last month has been pure hell!! We try to defuse the situation when we see it starting but that isn't always possible. They (especially Tyson) is getting plenty of exercise but I'm just not sure what to do. We are now living in our motorhome for the winter so it hard to keep them separated all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am thinking of finding a dog behaviorist near where we are staying to get there opinion. Open for any and all suggestions !

Probably sensing her weakness right now and trying to assert his alpha status

They can sense weakness. I think a behavorist can help

Agree on the behaviorist, this is nature for them to 'attack' the weaker of the pack and when one is sick, removing the weak link is just instinct for them. A behaviorist will help you in knowing how to redirect or correct his actions

I agree with above advice, I don't have any experience with this, but agree a therapist that can teach you some methods to redirect the behaviour would be helpful. I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're going through this with your guys, and hope it resolves itself. Good luck, and please keep us posted. Sending love and hugs your way.

Thanks! I will get in touch with one tomorrow hopefully.

Agree w/everyone, this is difficult as it is instinctual and compounded by the
fact, you can't effectively separate them. Let us know what therapist comes
up with so we can help others. Will pray over this and y'all~GOD bless!

I hope the behaviorist can help you with this. Please keep us posted.
