Murphy has his first cherry eye surgery ( tucking it back with a stitch)August 21st.
His left eye healed up really nicely, the right eye not so much.
He had his second cherry eye surgery September 24th.
We have had two check ups since then and his eye was still swollen. Where the pink is but looked meaty almost like hamburger.
So more steroid drops to keep it down and the vet said it would eventually go down in time.
Last weekend his left eye popped out( that's the good eye) probly 8 times over a 3 day period.
Massaged it back in and good to go. Haven't seen it since!
But today my husband messaged me while I was at work and said the cherry on his bad eye came out and he couldn't massage it so he was waiting for me to try.
I had no luck.
Letting him rest now and going to see what happens in the morning.
I am putting lubricant in it as well as his drops.
And when I say I comes out it isn't a cherry color
Just a round ball that is tissue colored.
So ?s
If I possibly get it in great & good to go
No worries
But if I can't
( hoping I can because we leave tomorrow for our last dune trip of the season and Murphys first trip to the beach)
Has anyone had them removed??
I can do drops everyday no problem but I just want to make sure that would be the right decision before I let them put him under again.
Does anyone know what kind of drops they use if the gland is taken out??
If surgery is my only option ( we have another check up next Saturday the 24th)
I would almost want to have them both taken out
that way I wouldn't have to put him under agin if the other eye starts acting up.
A couple pictures from before and after.

If you zoom in on the picture of him laying down you can tell his eye "meat" :/ is a little more swollen that the other eye.
But the progress is still amazing from what he had.
He just has such a great pretty face
