Will a chest plate harness make my Bulldog hotter in the heat?

I wanted a new harness so I could replace the collar on walks. I ordered Ruffwears new Front range harness last night and I am waiting on delivery. Will a harness with a chestplate make your bulldog hotter. Thinking about it now, I was always taught to cool a dog off by getting water/ice on their chest. Thanks for any insight.

I know bullies that wear them and they don't seem any hotter then any other bully. I dont think they make that much of a difference. Would love to see pics of Beaker once you receive it!

Not sure it would or not... I would just be aware of the the temps and the distance of the walk to ensure he doesn't overheat.
