When Canelo Was Little

I found this picture this morning of Canelo when he wasn't 6 months old yet. Husband and I house sat for my brother so we had his two pugs, our bully and pug, and my sister's pug. Canelo was still smaller than them, now he's bigger than them all, lol. Look at that cute bully booty!

My Husband loves boxing and one of his favorite boxers is Canelo Alvarez from Mexico. He wanted to name Nelo after Alvarez. I had no issue with the name, love it and the way it rolls off your tongue. We live in a gated community and the maintenance staff love our Canelo, they call him by name and chat up boxing with Husband while giving Canelo some love.

Canelo in Spanish means cinnamon, hence Alvarez's name and he's a ginger, and our Nelo is half ginger himself so it all fits. We've had a few people ask us if he's named after the boxer and it's nice when that happens. Most of the time we are asked what does Canelo mean and we explain the boxer and that it means cinnamon. The reactions are interesting, lol.

Oh my goodness, I love how tiny Canelo was and surrounded by pugs! Too cute! My dad has pugs and we lived with him when Frank was smaller than the pugs. We moved out, then would visit and the pugs were surprised to find that Frank was bigger than them when we came back!

I love looking at Canelo's puppy pics. He use to fit in one of my hands! Husband wouldn't touch him, he was afraid he'd break him, lol. The pic of him in hands is Husband finally holding him at 2 weeks old.

This one I took because once he ran out of juice, he'd just sleep where he ran out, lol!
