What size bowl do you use for food/water?

I'm looking on Amazon and not sure what size I need. If you know the exact size that would be helpful, most of the bowls are measured in ounces. I'm looking at 32 oz bowls and want to make sure they're not too big or too small.

We use a medium sized stainless steel bowl.

I don't know the oz. size, but they are about 6" across and the water bowl is about 8" across.

I think as long as the food bowl holds a cup it really dosen't matter, you can always refill the water.

Our food bowl holds 2 cups of kibble. Our water fountain holds a gallon of water. Both are stainless steel.
