Just got our puppy 2 days ago and today I noticed her paws look like that... What is it?
Thanks

Can't really see in the pic what you are talking about. What I see is a normal looking paw. :)

I have no idea… looks like her foot pad is peeling, I'm going to tag some members for you.

Here is another paw...

They look a little dry, I would put some coconut oil on them and let it set in, she'll love it and they'll be back to normal in no time.

Good! Thank you! I got worried... My cat had the same paws after he jumped on the cooktop :(

Hi, this looks like yeast to me, which is usually caused by allergies. Which brand of dog food are you currently feeding her?
you can try soaking her paws in Anti-Yeast Dip You can either use a bowl or large coffee cup and dunk the paws daily in the dip. If you have a smaller dog, you could easily pop them in the sink instead.

1 x gallon of warm water
2 x cups of white vinegar
1 x cup of hydrogen peroxide

This is what yeast on paws looks like

This is not yeast Monica. This is a case of dry cookies. Buster and Mickey had it happen to them before :)

isn't she a pup... like 4 months old? bullmama or Davidh... any ideas? could it be the start of yeast or just dry paw?

It's yeast if it smells like corn chips, but for a young pup I think it's just probably callous /dry paw starting to toughen up the pads. Similar to a corn on the foot, the affected area turns yellowish.

However, I would certainly go ahead and try foot soaks. Here's why.

Khloes looked similar to this, and she had an interdigital cyst. I was soaking her in chlorahexidine and alternating with Epsom salts. Her rear leg then became abscessed (we suspect it was a cactus thorn). I noticed that after all those soaks and the antibiotics she had from the abscess, now her paw pads look like new and fresh as a young pup. So I'm thinking it can possibly be fungal or bacterial as well.

I have no idea what corn chips smell like :)))

...we are going to the vet tomorrow, but i will make sure i do the solution, as well....how long should she stand in it? and i will buy the oil... :)

she is on some crappy food but i am changing it to fromm...
