Got 3-4 inches of snow yesterday, Princess enjoyed getting out in it, tried to catch snowballs with her mouth, rooted around in snow (looked so cute with snow all over her face), pounced on the snow repeatedly like it was a playmate.

Made me think though, probably should get her booties (she has a sweater), both to keep her feet dry/warm, as well as prevent her paws picking up salt (I use animal friendly salt, but most don't, including the trucks spreading on streets, parking lots, etc.). Any recommendations for booties for bullies (pretty big paws, she is about 85 lbs, a little chunky, but she is pretty big overall).

I've never been successful in finding booties that have stayed on our meaty paw bulldogs! Happy to hear she had a blast in the snow

What’s the temperature in winter?

My rule of thumb for booties is -15cel if they’re standing doing nothing. If they’re running n having fun, you can go without. But, 10-15 mins max. I winterize my dogs on cold fall days. I leave them outside on the deck so their bodies adapts. When we get -25cel n up, they go in and out for their business only.

Keep in mind that puppies sweat through their paws. Although using in cold weather, an EBN family used booties for their bully in the Las Vegas heat only to have their bully come down with a heat injury.

Booties for Vegas? 🤦‍♀️ One thing when it’s -25, but winter Vegas temperatures like spring in Canada 🤷🏼‍♀️

Probably to protect pads from scorching pavement or asphalt
Yes but there’s summer pads out there n logically, if it’s too hot, you don’t walk any dog. Dogs don’t tolerate heat.
