We are considering taking in a 75 lb rescue that i have not met in person. I saw a pic but it was of just the dog with nothing in the background to compare his size to. I can't wrap my head around how big that actually is since bulldogs don't carry weight like other dogs and my two are only 35 and 45 lbs. I can't get a mental picture a bulldog double that. If you have a really big EB, could you post a pic of him/her hopefully next to something easy to gauge their size against? 75 lbs seems so huge to me.

Unless he's got some sort of mix in his breeding, he is likely extremely overweight. So its very possible he's the same size as yours, but with just a massive roll of fat wrapped around him. If you want him to last very long, hopefully a diet will be in order (to the tune of 20lbs). But it depends on the overall size.

I will have to tag Dudley's mom… I think Mr. Dudley was packing in at about 70lbs. DudleysMom

Mack Daddy weighed in at vet at 70lbs and is definitely not over weight from what the vet says and he is full blooded, it just depends on their genes and family tree. The vet did say that is very uncommon to see a bulldog this big and not have a weight issue but there are exceptions with some dogs

My babies have always been 70-75 lbs and were not overweight. As said before, it all depends on the dog.

All have been pure bred.Ram in closet.jpgdozer on couch.jpg$RS9ZGM0.jpg

Here is Maude. She weighs 65 pounds 031.JPG

This is my Linus, who in his prime, was 81 lbs. He was around 75 right before he passed. He had a few pounds to lose when he was up around 81 but he was just a big dog...all heart though! :)

This is Rocky. We just rescued him. Some family dumped him at the local shelter after 8 years. In this picture he is 77 pounds. He is now on a diet.

This is a 100lb bulldog that our rescue group just took in. Needless to say, she is on a diet and exercise regime before she is adopted out.
