Yes! We've already had two different contractors out so far.

Really sucks not having a washer n dryer.

Hi Heather, I totally feel your pain, as the same thing happened to us a couple of weeks ago. My neighbour above me, had a burst water pipe in her condo, under her bathtub and the water came pouring through our main floor ceiling pot lights, and then ran down to our basement. There was a lot of water damage to the drywall, so it will have to be replaced. We just bought our unit a month and a half ago, and the basement had just been renovated before we moved in. We found out from the condominium corporation that this is the third flood this lady has had in her unit, the other two were before we bought. The crappy part of it is that we have a $1000 deductible on our insurance, so we are out this money, and if she has future floods, we'll be out that deductible every time. It's so frustrating, that it's not our fault, but we still have to lay out of pocket, makes you think is it worth the insurance? I hope you have coverage, and it gets fixed soon. We are waiting for our insurance to get the estimate from the contractor, and then we'll be getting it fixed.

Yes it is a lot of money but the repairs can be way more then that. Just praying it's all covered.

Monica, I'd talk to the mgmt company about THEM paying your deductible.
No way should this woman get away with this especially THREE times, WTF?!!
If they don't want to do it, I'd talk to a lawyer as soon as you're up to it.
This is PRIOR KNOWLEDGE of an ongoing problem and part of lawful disclosure
from your sellers too.
