Walter got a new bed… #4

Got Wally a new bed yesterday, the last one had the stuffing coming out of it. THIS time I got a flat bed so he can't suck the material off the sides and start tearing it up… Am I the ONLY one who has a bully that sucks his bed to go to sleep?!! Lol

I had Fatboys for my boys, but when Voitto stripped them of their cover (luckily he didn't get to the insides and the milloins of little styrofoam balls) I desided to sew new ones from old jeans....They're durable, washalble and easily repared if worn down or chewed...

That is a great idea… I wonder if any company sells jean covers for doggie beds. My sewing skills are NOT so great… Lol

seeing how I can't keep stuffies in the house because of Aria shredding them Harlea has taken to sucking on her bed when she is tired.

All the dogs I've ever had-especially the Malanois, loved the stuffed ones-they would carry them around-especially the talking toys. I would get kids toys at the Goodwill for them.My sister's dogs always pulled the stuffing out, and my bullies actually saw them do it, and they started to do it. The toy box got whittled down, little by little by theBullie "thugs", until we can have no stuffies.Just mountains of nylabones. So far-good with beds, but I only buy memory foam-non with crumbles. I must add those two saving words-"SO Far...."!

Just googled denim dog bed and got a lot of different manufactures....even ones that make them from your old jeans...maybe I should start to make them too...

WOW… you know before this thread I never even thought about denim material. Did they have one for the Big Barker?!! I put that in the closet until I know for certain that Wally won't destroy that thing… Lol
[MENTION=2014]JeannieCO[/MENTION] have you even thought of making your pads in denim?!! I'm not a seamstress so I'm not sure if that's an easy material to work with. It might be a great choice for hot weather?!!

Oh yeah we DO… I just caught him outside eating a receipt… SMH!!! Stupid builders across the street throw their trash everywhere, and on a windy day guess what ends up in MY yard!!!
