Ok so I have a 3 year olde English bulldogā€¦I donā€™t even know where to start! Im uk based. So Beau is a beautiful character but I am really struggling with her. Sheā€™s constantly needing attention and when I mean constant itā€™s more than my 8 month old baby sheā€™s the neediest dog Iā€™ve ever had, she jumps on everyone that comes to the house including the postman each day most delivery people are scared of her so they throw the packages in the garden. She jumps to love not aggressively she jumps every person she knocks children over as sheā€™s super excited itā€™s like she canā€™t contain herself. Walks are awful the pulling is unreal Iā€™ve got burn marks from the leaf on a daily basis and itā€™s super hard walking when you have 3 other children to attend too at 9 5 & 8 months. She is reactive too cats other dogs even cats she will wonder off on the road just to follow the car whilst on lead. We are supposed to be going on holiday my aunty is supposed to be having her she had her 4 hours and said gem I canā€™t cope with her and we e had to quickly find a kennel as we Darent leave her anywhere wise which makes me feel terrible!! Weā€™ve had her spayed we canā€™t even take her to a god friendly pub as she sits and whines at us and tries to get to other dogs. On an evening she just stares at me and whines for attention and when we give her the attention she wonā€™t settle sheā€™s up and down all night on the couch to the point I get fed up and go to bed for some peace. She sleeps well eat well and is a lovely kind dog loves the children and does listen when you tell her off well from us anyway no one else just is I really need help this is affecting my bond with her and I have tried to rehome her as I was that fed up but again she lasted a week there. Please donā€™t judge really trying but I work also and Iā€™m juggling like mad trying to give the family and the dog the attention they need any help advice would be much appreciated

Please don't be insulted, but it sounds to me like you need some lessons on training your dog, so you can train your dog.I would recommend a chain or herm Sprenger But a newbie would not use them in the correct way. The dog really should have been trained as a pup, so now you need a GOOD dog person to teach YOU. It sounds like she has just had free reign. Just a child(dog) who has not been explained to about how she should behave. See if you can locate someone who can help you. She can be traine to have manners, it will just be a longer process now that she is older.;)

Behavioral training for sure. Bob was 3 when we got him last year and pretty out of control, especially for me. He is besotted with my husband and is much better behaved for him. Definitely a mans dog. He has had one round of boarding/training and is set for another when we go away next month. It certainly helped but he can still be a bit of a wild child occasionally so we feel the 2nd round is necessary.
Good luck!

Agreedā€¦ she seems to rule youā€¦ you need to show you are boss and she will fall in line. If you are using a retractable lead, get rid of it. Get a good leash and keep it on her when company comes to house and correct her when she jumps . Try long walks without the children and get energy out of her. Hire an at home trainer to show you how to train and she will become a great dog. Also look up ā€˜ nothing in life is freeā€™. very easy training toolā€¦ btwā€” ALL humans in house must follow the same training commands as she will learn who the push over is and take advantage. Good luck

I would suggest that when you work with Beau to start, have someone watch the children, so you and Beau will not be distracted. You can do it! Just a little harder when they have been in control!
