Pleas pardon my Iignorance if this has been asked but I didn't find anything doing a search. A question about vaccinations popped in to my head so I figured this is the place to ask. Has there ever been any documented studies regarding the use of live versus dead vaccinations with bullies due to some that have varying degrees of adverse reactions to the injections? I know in the cat world my 3 Bengals have to get the dead version because the live will kill them but didn't know if any kind of study had been done with bullies.

I have no idea, that might be something a veterinary University can help answer

that is a great question but you might have do the digging yourself. I'm in the biomedical research field and i've asked my own doctors whether vaccines are live dead or even if a test is pcr based or live culture and they have no idea.

REMEMBERING is the challenge!

Marine91.... I REMEMBERED!!! I am so darn proud of me... hee hee hee

Anyway --- he has always used the 'dead' vaccines especially with the rabies shot... said it is just better all around mostly due to less reactions and immune build up ..... hope that helps, because he got WAY deep technical with me - I must of glazed over casue he laughed and said 'It is just best for the dog.'

2BullyMama Awesome thank you! Harlea goes to the vet Friday morning for her 9 week shots and I have set a reminder on my phone to ask him. If all else fails I also stuck a note in her shot records so it won't be missed. :)
