Traditional 4th of July cookout or something else??

I know most of us celebrate 4th of July with burgers and hot dogs on the grill as a tradtional cookout. We opted to have Snow Crab legs and Asparagus for our dinner this evening. I bought 3 lbs. think that should do it!! Whats on your menu for today?

Mmmmm sounds delicious! I love crab legs! We usually have those on New Years.

Well we took out some steaks and were hoping for a day poolside, but can you BELIEVE it is RAINING???? Has been all night! In ARIZONA on the 4th of July! I could expect a quick monsoon in the afternoon but this is dreary. Well, the good thing is everyone putting on fireworks won't burn the neighborhood down!

growing up we did the traditional bbq food but i thought i'd try something different today (plus, i don't feel like going to the grocery store)!

I've got some burgers with blue stilton in them ... yummy!! Going to do a HUGE salad to go with it. There is only myself, hubby and daughter, Juliet. Tom (hubby) is working til 5.30pm today ... so it won't be until a little later!!

Lari and I made home made potato salad,,,,,, she makes the BESTEST in the world. I just cooked then cut up the potatoes and egg. First thought was to have Brats with it. Then found chicken parts for .99/lb. so I was going to bread crumb those and toss them in the green egg grill but we were out of crumbs and eggs so while at the store found New York cut steaks on sale... Steak and potato salad... nummynummy!

We are having smoked chicken, ribs and Boston Butt. Potato salad cole slaw , cucumber and tomato Greek salad, calico Beans and Apple crisp. Oh I made bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers ( from my garden plants) all this and it is just me, Terri, our son Pierce and Crystal. We will be eating leftovers all week

Kelly did Brats for us...they were very nice and reminded me very much of Cumberland sausage x

we arent doing anything today. Too hot and there is a burn ban in place so no fireworks. My daughter may take us to steak and shake for burgers. We are having a very lazy day..Since there is only three of us here
