Wow, what a story. Brought a smile and tears to my face. What a thoughtful bully parent to share the joy his bully brings to others who are suffering.

thank you for sharing that ... the tragedy makes me cry but like he said for a brief moment you can't help but smile ... what a wonderful man to try how ever possible to make a broken town smile!

Good thinking on his part.

Such a wonderful gesture. Who couldn't help but let worries slip away for the precious seconds with a bully hug?

I didn't see your post and posted the same thing. I thought it was really sweet and totally EBN appropriate!

Noyes27 that's what I thought too when I first saw it, I knew it needed to be shared on EBN! It just shows a lot about that mans character. Such a heart warming story during such a hard time!

Thank you for sharing this. The profound sadness over this tragedy spreads right around the world. The pure love of a bully hug is truly a beautiful and healing gift.

Is that Giovanni and Diva I see in the Baggy Bulldogs Xmas mix?

sometimes the simplest thing can help a person if even for only a minute

Great story. EBs have that magical ability to make people smile --and a lot of the time, laugh. I've heard it many times in my "over 55" community here, where most have poodles and Bishons. "Your dogs are so ugly, they're cute", followed by giggles and laughs from little old ladies and old men alike. I don't take offense to it. I think they're beautiful and the runny eyed poodles and Bishons leave a lot to be desired....LOL Beauty -- and true joy -- is in the eye of the beholder.
