Phenobarbital recall

Thanks for the link. Thank goodness we are heavy weight here. That's a very small dose, the smallest out there. Vegas, being a bulldog... weighs too much for that mg.

Yes, absolutely. It could be a problem for someone with a small Yorkie or something and they don't realize they are doubling the dose.

WHEW!!! I immediately thought of you, Jeannie and Jim

Interesting enough... I work in a pharmacy and I'm involved with most of the contacting of patients when we receive word of a recall. This is not something I've heard of yet. And, with an expiration date of 11/2017.... seems like those pills would have been sold years ago. We are hitting expiration dates of outgoing meds now with 2019/2020 even 2022 expiration dates. I wonder how come it's taken so long to bring this to light. The article didn't say much about it.

They said it was after a customer complaint so that means nobody noticed it before???? Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the company, does it?!!

I don't know. I will see what the expiration dates are of the stuff we have. Most people I believe are on the 16.2 mg versus the 60 mg, 32.4 mg versus the 30 mg, 64.8 mg versus the 60 mg and so on. But now that the grain version is getting more expensive people are reverting back to the milligram version.

I wonder if it was a single customer or multiple customers?
