His face started looking better...not so much tonight ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337908488.583973.jpg

OUCH!! Poor little man..... allergies are kicking his butt?

Yes, it's up and down. Sometimes it looks like its going away and the it flares back up. I recently started giving him yogurt on his food.

Ouch, have you given him any benedryl? 25mg for every 25 pounds. twice daily.

Poor guy! I found the suggestion of giving filtered water rather that tap water really helpful for my pup's face. I also put neosporin on it at night before he goes to sleep and that also seems to help. Hope he is doing better soon.

We had a cat that looked just like that on his chin. After trying everything we found out he was allergic to his dish (it was plastic). Give your baby lots of hugs from Herschel and me!

Perhaps you can try wiping the muzzle after eating, and yes plastic is bad, ceramic or stainless only, clean well with hot soapy water between each feeding. Also towel drying after a drink helps.

He is drinking and eating out of stainless bowls. I have a water filter especially for him. I will definitely try the benadryl, wiping his face more and some neosporin. Thanks everyone!

Any other symptoms like scratching, runny poo, etc.? What food is he on now? for how long? The Benedryl should help.

You could also try giving him (like the yogurt) locally made honey from a farmers market so that his body gets accustomed to the local pollen and other natural things around.

Is he scratching his face or any other areas? I feel ya on the allergies, we are dealing with those big time right now! Our vet said you can put a little hydrocortisone cream on itchy spots too (staying clear of the eyes of course).

My Mr. Wilson is getting hit hard with allergies this year. Even my Frenchton Louie has very bad itchy, teary eyes this season and he never had it much before. So I'm doing lots of wipe downs and cleaning eyes a lot before they do more damage by their scratching or rubbing on the carpet. I feel for you and your fur baby.
