Porkchop
Hello everyone!

My name is El and Porkchop is our puppy’s name given to her by our son. I’ve been browsing through this channel to expand my knowledge and understanding of this breed.
We have purchased Porkchop from a breeder who insisted that she is 100% English bulldog. From what I’ve been reading here it isn’t uncommon of this breed when young are sometimes mistaken for boxers or mixed with other breeds as they go through the ā€œgangly phasesā€. Our 3 mos. old puppy is having the same issue at this stage. She is 11 inches tall and about 16 inches long. Although she has some wrinkles on her neck, forehead, and the bridge of her nose she is missing a nose rope.
I need some opinions whether or not our new member of the family is a purebred or not. Either way we love her just as the same. She is a very good puppy. Thanks everyone!

She does look to be a mix but she is adorable!

:welcome4: to EBN! It does appear that your pup is a mix-or perhaps an American Bulldog. She is a very pretty gal,no matter what! Her tail, from what I can see, appears to have been docked, and her muzzle is long(which is better for breathing..) Having said this-she is your baby and you love her no matter what. Another thing is that you are always welcome here-good times and bad, and everyone here LOVES to see bully photos! Stick with us! @Porkchop I love her name, too.

Thanks for taking the time to response.

Hi and welcome Porkcop, says Castor!
What a lovely name and she is a very cute pup! Did you get registration papers saying she's purebred English bulldog? To me, she doesn't look like a purebred English bulldog, but she will hopefully have less health problems than some bulldogs do so that's good! This is a great forum - I've learned a lot over the years here and everyone is nice and supportive so you've coem to the right place!

She has paper indicating she’s a purebred under NAPR North American Purebred Registry but not under AKC. Her siblings do have nose ropes, we picked her because of her color.

Welcome! Porkchop is a cutie pie, definitely a mix, but as guys said it will may be spare you from some vet visits and costs!

Welcome! What a beautiful girl... I would agree, she is a mix or could be an Ole English which are taller, less wrinkly and have a long nose, all good for better health

Welcome! She looks more like the American Bulldog. Sure is a pretty girl.

What a lovely girl! Her nose does look a bit long, but all the better to breathe with, my dear! Possibly an OEB? Just out of curiosity, did you see the parents? Again, as others have said, she is gorgeous and you will love her no matter what. Welcome!

Yup, she’s not pure! Got a nice muzzle, that’s a definite plus, plus! Your lucky, they’ll be less panting.

Love the colour. She’ll probably grow taller than standard English bullies and also healthier. Wanting to see this lovely girl, fully grown into a women. Love that white face!

She's a pretty puppy. Love the colors. I honestly do not think she's an "English bulldog", she's got a snout. I tend to agree with the others, either she is American bulldog (still a bulldog) or a mix. Either way, she's a cutie pie and we love to have her (and you too) here. Welcome to the group.
