Hello, got our first Bulldog, female , earlier this year, she was 7 months old. Had to put her down about 2 months ago, after close to a thousand dollars in vet bills we all came to the conclusion that she was not getting any better and the time had come to make that hard decision. The vet feels, due to the testing, that it was acute leukemia. Harleys ashes are in a nice little box in the living room. She replaced our 6 year old Bull Terrier female who died from the effects of Limes disease, it has been a hard couple of years for us as far as loosing our little buddies goes.
Life goes on and this past month and a half or so has been the longest I have been w/out a dog buddy. About a month ago I put down a deposit on a brindle female, we will pick her up on Wednesday, she will be vet checked along w/the other puppies in the litter and ready to go. We are so so looking forward to having a new little buddy in the house. Will post pics once she arrives.

I can't even begin to express the sorrow I feel for you as I read your post.

Such a blow to lose them young and then, losing TWO so close together, Wow!

There are many in this wonderful group that have tho and so, know your pain.

So glad you made the brave choice to get another bulldog and opening up your
home & heart to LOVE. It is the only way to defeat death's sting & give no victory
to loss by loving again...good for you!

Can't wait to see your new beloved...welcome to EBN, it's wonderful here :)

:welcome4: to EBN! So sorry for your losses. There is always a place in your heart for another.

I am so sorry for your losses. I couldn't imagine how hard that was. Your new buddy is just precious though! Can't wait for more pics!!! She is definitely the silver lining to all of your loss.

Thank you,and yes she is ! I used to look forward to getting home from work to see my dog as much as, the significant other, looking over my shoulder to see if she's their:fie: She is a little sweetheart and my new retirement job.

I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your dogs. I unfortunately have been there. And your newest addition, Bertha is it? Is absolutely adorable, too cute!! Looking forward to seeing more pics as she grows.

Thank you, hard trying to come up w/a name, ultimately named her Matty after the first dog I had as an adult, at 41, a English Mastiff.

Welcome to the site, and so sorry for your loss. But congrats on your new pup, as she is a beauty. Plus you are right there, puppies are little poop machines. LOL

matty.jpg Matty is a little over 3 months now, just a little joy and so smart. Potty training in the middle of a Wi. winter has been a challenge but not going to bad.

Growing like a weed, such a beautiful girl!
