(( HUGS )) to everybully who's struggling with the sadness of missing a furbaby(ies!)
The guy on the left, and girl in the middle are our personal doggies that we've had since puppy-hood, and that adora-bull guy on the right only came to us last March. He was succch a blessing to us; we had to make the heartbreaking
decision to let our vet "escort him over the rainbow bridge" on Dec. 27th. We only adopted him 10 months
earlier; he was considered what our Rescue group calls a "hospice foster". My hubby said he looked like Mister
Magoo (he did!)
so we started calling him that. Since himz was deaf, we knew that changing his name
wouldn't confuse him; orelse we wouldn't have.
A couple weeks later, my dear hubby---(who is wonderbull at nicnames!), said "yknow.... he's elderly, and he looks WISE---we should call him PROFESSOR!
We alternated between calling him Mister Magoo, Professor, and/or
Professor GOO. He was jussst a sweet boy, and he loved his hard-boiled eggs! We still marvel that he was
surrendered by his hooman at such an elderly age; and for the 10 months since he'd rescued us, I ALWAYS
wondered if his hooman missed him/ regretted surrendering him to rescue, etc.!
We're SO grateful that he was with us for 10 months, but wow---it is SO painful when they go!
Himz was our fourth foster, and I'm sure we'll foster and/or adopt again, but not yet. Again---(( HUGS)) to all of you!
Hubby and I have been SO sad----it's amaaaazing how these furbabies get so entrenched in our hearts, isn't it?
