VEGAS and REBEL
2 days ago I washed Vegas's bedding, I used bleach on his crate pillow which I never do, but it was stinky. Yesterday I noticed some bumps on his chin. (When he lays in his crate he lays his chest and chin on his big oversized pillow.) Today this is what I am trying to clear up. I re-washed his pillow and double rinsed with NO bleach. I am washing his chin with anti-fungal yeast shampoo (Pharmaseb) rinsing and drying it real good and trying...TRYING.... to put some cortisone cream on it. Of course as soon as I put it on he runs and rubs it off all over my area rugs. :cursing: The only thing I can contribute his chin to is his pillow nothing else has changed.

Any other ideas?? I gave him some benedryl and he is sleeping good.

Poor fella, it looks bad, but really haven't seen him itching or bothering it.

Oh geez poor Vegas. Thats is crazy how sensitive his skin is. I am sure someone will be by with advise. Hope he feels better soon.

Kelly, it's gotta be from the bleach, I would think, since that's the only new thing introduced to Vegas. It should clear up, just give it a few days. Bleach is pretty harsh stuff and maybe it didn't get totally rinsed out during the washing process. I would stay far away from bleach!

I hear terrible things about bleach, but I have to admit, I haven't cut it out of my life quite yet - but we don't have anything white for Remi so we haven't been able to test that theory!!

Good luck... good idea on the double rinsing.

Oh Hun...I know...bullies and their sensitivities!

You can put white vinegar or baking soda/water solution in the rinse cycle.

Also Hydrogen Peroxide diluted w/water in rinse cycle to kill germs, too.

Love you much...GOD bless and give Vegas slobber kisses from us!

No help here but hope Vegas' chin is better very soon.

I couldn't LIVE without bleach in my life.

OUCH!!!!!

Poor Vegas hope he clears up real fast

WOW!!! That looks so sore! I think you have it well covered. Hopefully he will continue ignoring it. Get well soon Vegas!

Oh wow Kelly, that's a fast reaction. Poor guy. I don't use bleach on their bedding but I will use hot water and do an extra rinse if needed.
