Just a quick hello.

Hi everyone,
Im a new member of this forum and a new bulldog owner. I have and 11 week old rescued bulldog pup named Dozer aka the wonderpup. He is just amazing. I manage a dog daycare and foster support center. Needless to say, I love dogs in general. I have had dogs before but never a puppy and never an english bulldog, so this is kind of a new, exciting and sometimes crazy experience for me.

Welcome wonderpup and mama! So have you noticed a difference between taking care of another breed vs your bully? Can't wait to hear more stories!

@saveme , Well I grew up with and have always had German shepherds so yeah ye is the most stubborn mouthy little thing i have ever met. Lol I think is pretty normal though. Also he is my fist puppy , I have always had dogs so it has been interesting to say the least.

As a side question, does anyone know what the requirements are for showing a dog? How do you start? Not that i want to get really into it , but we are working on getting our S.T.A.R. puppy certificate from the akc and then maybe later our canine good citizen. I just thing it would be amazing for a puppy thats somebod tossed in their garage to turn out to be such a show winner . Maybe it will make people think a little harder before dumping a dog , prolly not but it would make a nice rescue story. I think he is a star already but i may be a little bias.

Welcome to our group. Aren't Bully puppies just the best?! I do know in order to show you have to have AKC FULL (not limited) registration, and they can't be spayed or neutered. Conformation classes would help you get him ready to go in the show ring. Then find a show in your area and enter him. Good luck.

Welcome [MENTION=1665]dozersmama[/MENTION], you are going to love this site, I too have always had dogs, and been around dogs, I have NEVER in my life met anything like a bully, they are a unique breed, I have never felt the love and I loved all my dogs as I do with my Vegas, you are in for a treat!

Welcome ... we too were lucky enough to get a rescue bulldog puppy. Daddy is now almost five months old!!

I think you will soon find out, if you haven't already, that there are dogs and there are humans ... and bulldogs sit somewhere in the middle. Totally unique!!
