To our Texas members living in the Houston-Corpus Christi and the Gulf Coast areas...please obey all orders...tape/board up your windows, and please make sure you have enough supplies to last a while. They are saying that Harvey is going to dump a tons of rain by just sitting over Texas and not move.Please be safe and I hope you come through this unscathed.

Just posted this else where...... Just saw it on the news. Everyone is buying plywood. Lots of your refineries will be in the hurricane's path. stay safe!!!!! My thoughts n prays are with you all !!

Don't be surprised when the gas prices go up. I know Shell and Exxon have refineries along I-10 between Beaumont and Houston.This is a major hurricane (i.e. winds >110 mph).

Well some good news....Step-mother evacuated from Corpus to Austin. That is great...out of harms way.

We are loaded up with supplies, water, etc. Gas tanks are full, and Tyson has everything his little heart desires. We have 4 coolers full of ice too in case we lose power. Hoping Harvey is gentle with us.... not going to lie, it sure is nerve wrecking!

I'm from NY, but I have been through two hurricanes since moving to TX, both of those luckily turned at the very last minute so it wasn't too bad for us. This one however, looks like its gonna be a direct hit.

I have concerns I cant even imagine!! and I've never been 'attached' to anyone before in 'natures' harms way like this... I don't particularly care for it... I remember when Nat was going through this kind of stuff and I didn't much like that either Do take care and i'd love to see you go on up to Ashleys place and send more pics

Yes been there and done that with Carla. That's when I lived on Wycliffe which was on that outskirts of Houston. Please be safe. I am praying for you guys.
