Hey, just wanted to say hello! I got my first bulldog puppy about a year and half ago. I like to think of myself as an expert now because anything that could go wrong has gone wrong! :D J/K I'm still learning. Haha! But seriously, we started with hives at about 4 months old, which turned into a scabby skin condition. A year later and I've finally found a food he's not allergic too! YAY! Clear skin! Ever since he was 6 months old his tail pocket has been infected.. he's sprained his ankle and has had 2 eye ulcers. He's at the vet at least once a month. I think he's doing it on purpose. He likes the attention. :w00t:

Anyway.. Four days ago I made a 5 hour drive to see a specialist and had his tail amputated. He's doing really good! Has anyone had this done to their bully? I'm wondering how long it takes to heel/hair grow back, etc.

And even after all that, what do I do? I get him a baby brother. LOL! Now I have a 6 month old boy too, and the skin issues are already starting up.. Time to start making the rounds with different foods again..

:welcome3: to EBN!

WELCOME!!!! Beautiful puppies. Nyala my brindle has a tail pocket issues but been keeping at bay with an essential oil mix. Been great for pass year. I clean her tail every 2days. For skin issues I switched to raw n Acana. Knock on wood never had issues to date. Like you, I got Nyala a little brother 6 months ago. They are glued to the hip. A lot of work as Duke is a crap disturber but worth the gray hair. You will enjoy having 2.

welcome and two cuties!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing arent they :) Never had to learn so much about a 'breed' as these stinkers but with lots of reading, so far so good!!!! :) Enjoy and welcome to the world of bulldogs ;)

We've done a few tail removals and the healing takes 4-6 weeks. Hair fully returneth in 3-4 months.
Welcome and that's a good looking pair ya got there.
