Apartment life sucks but it is a roof over our heads. Waiting on insurance company to approve the adjusters findings. However, carpenter grade wood has skyrocketed as well as other items so this is slowing the process down.

Jewel's ear canal operation went well but she can't hear now. Bentley will need injections for arthritis...we will be giving them.

wood prices are insane, we were going to have some stuff done till we saw the prices, it is outrageous

Prices are going up and gasoline is going to soar due to the Colonial Pipeline being held ransom. We have seen gas prices go up since the president shut down construction of the other pipeline. Prices at our Costco have gone up $0.67 a gallon since the inauguration.

Greetings...Hope everyone is OK and Happy Memorial Day.

Here is an update on our current escapade. Everything has been removed from the house and is in storage. Demolition has started. Here are some pics.

We are hanging in there. I am now wearing a boot because I did something to my foot Denise is the backbone now and taking care of everybody. Jewel and Bentley miss their yard...so do I. Mom in law is hanging in there as well.

OMG I'm so sorry... I had to wear a boot last summer, and then I ended up with Planters Fasciitis. I really hope that you guys are able to get home soon... have they given you a timeline yet?!!

When I drive across Canada cause I also bring the pups to visit my family. I swear I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed. Can’t imagine months on like you’re doing. Patience sure needs to kick in.

The house is pretty much gutted. The trusses have been ordered and need to be in place for the new roof. Then they will start inside. I figure another 3 months give or take. It has been 4 months so far. Kids are doing ok.

Foot wise MRI on 6/25.

BTW, I'm hoping the rebuild is completed sooner rather than later. With much of the USA workforce being paid to sit on their hands, it can certainly be a struggle to make headway.
