I was asked to write a continuing education article for a nursing journal in September. It has been a long couple of months. I submitted the article today!!!! I should know in a month or so if it will be published. Keep your fingers crossed that they take it "as is" and i don't get it back for revision.
:jumpdance::happy2:

ChrisRN OK. I hope you included the definition of GOMER (get out of my emergency room) in the article. I hoped you typed it slowly as I cannot read fast.

I love that one! I haven't heard GOMER for a while!

How about Johnson's sign? Named after the famous inter Elliot Johnson. When transferring a catheterized patient from the gurney to the bed and the patient snaps back to the gurney because the intern forgot to move the bag to the bed....positive Johnson's sign. :w00t:

Fingers crossed for you. I also like GOMER, too funny. :)

You need to read "Calling Dr. Horowitz" by Steve Horowitz. The movie "Bad Medicine" used some of the exploits in the book. If you need a laugh this is a most def read. In fact, every intern should read this book. Maybe patient care would improve in the world. (I was an Army medic for 24 years).

Best of luck... paws and fingers are crossed for you

Good Luck Chris!!! I can't wait to hear the good news… :w00t:

Will do, Roger, thank you for your service...my Dad was an Army medic too :)

Did you ever read House of God? It's an older one, but very funny. That's where I learned about GOMERs and LOL in NAD (little old lady in no apparent distress). It's still a good read.

I will have to check it out.
