One of my girls has been biting her feet till sometimes raw. I have changed foods so many times month after month till there are no more good choices. Anyone with good solutions out there on what you did? I'm wondering if it might be a yeast infection and won't go away without antibiotics

Are the paws a brownish/red color? If so it's probably yeast. If she is chewing them raw even if you put her on the worlds best dog food it probably won't go away without some sort of treatment, because it is probably bothering her already. It could also be infected from her chewing them.

Putting on good dog food will definately help in preventing it from happening again- unless she is allergic to something that touches her feet (like grass). The yeast usually comes from her licking and chewing her feet, and the wetness gets trapped in between the toes.

Have you taken her to the vet to see what they say? Sam used to lick/bite at his feet until they were raw. The vet said it was allergies. He is on an antihistamine now called atarax and we avoid all poultry and grain in foods. I feed him Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Salmon. It's hard to find treats without poultry and grain so I he just gets the treats that go with his food. I also put salmon oil on his food to help with his skin. Now he still licks his feet a little bit but not enough where you can even tell. His feet look great now and he has NO tear stains. Hope that helps.

I agree, sounds like a contact allergy.

Hello, mine has allergies to where the vet sent us to animal dermatoligist he is still and always be on antigens weekly injections. Good luck will wait for update to hear how it is going best wishes I remember how much it hurt me to see him hurt just know it will get better for both of you .
