DIY Cost effective Vitamin and Mineral recipe for dogs

This is great especially if you have multiple dogs, the inital cost is upfront when you have to buy all of the vitamins/supplements but I find that in the long haul this is cheaper than buying dog vitamins and my dogs are thriving on it.


2c Nutritional Dried Yeast
1/3c Lecithin Granules
1/3c Alfalfa
1/4c Kelp
3000mg Vitamin C (Non acidic versions.....salt forms of vitamin C, calcium ascorbate or sodium ascorbate)
3-50mg Capsules Zinc
6-1000mcg Capsules Selenium
6-200mcg Capsules Chromium

After mixing place in an amber container and refrigerate
Serving Size:
1/4tsp per day dogs under 10lbs
2 tsp per day dogs 20-40lb
1tbsp per day dogs 50-80lbs


Whole Food Trace Mineral Mix
1/4c raw organic sunflower seeds
1/4c raw organic brazil nuts
2tbs organic spirulina

Grind nuts and seeds in a food processor add the spirulina to the mix
Place contents in an amber glass container and refrigerate

Serving Size
1/4tsp per day dogs under 10lbs
1/2tsp per day dogs 20-40lbs
1tsp per day dogs 50-80lbs
