Yep. Remember over on thqt side of the world they call them Typhoons. Lol. Sorry.. A bit OCD about that since i was flying to Guam less that 24hrs after Typhoon Paka hit it.
If she stayed in Manila like I thought she and her family would, they should be ok. It is the eastern side as in the Visayan Islands including Tacloban/Cebu that should be the area that is going to be severely affected. In Manila, there would be torrential rains but much significantly lesser in intensity. It is going to be a bummer that her 1st few days will be limited inside the hotel room or relative's house if they so opted.
The latest. My folks in Manila said rain is non stop but wind is tolerable. Looks like they are being spared the wrath of Typhoon Ruby for now. Stay tuned.
