I took Monty to the vet on Friday for his follow-up and all looked good! No more pills! I was just following him in the house from outside and I couldn't believe my eyes, his rear end is oozing again, back to square 1. :hissycry::hissycry::hissycry: Poor Boy. His vet is off today so I will be on the phone first thing in the morning for, I am sure, another round of pills. This is never-ending.

w/o reading through yet, have you considered amputation???so sorry for this... Darn dogs turn us all upside down! :(

So sorry to hear! I was hoping that this round would do it since the bacteria were sensitive to those antibiotics. Make sure they do another culture before they start Monty on antibiotics as sensitivities of the bacteria may have changed. I wonder if Monty needs another drain ?

The infection site isn't actually his tail. It's to the left of his bum near his anal gland and down a bit (an infected anal gland has been ruled out by two vets). It originally started from a tail infection that unfortunately went deep into his body. His tail looks great.

I have got an appointment for him tomorrow.

I will certainly ask these questions, thank you.

My poor dog will be getting a complex soon. Most of his pictures posted are of his rear end!

So sorry you and Monty are going through this. Hopefully it will get resolved very soon.

OMG... I'm SO very sorry to read this, I was so hoping that he was on the mend.

Sending huge hugs of love & comfort to you & Monty.

Praying for answers to this issue, there's got to be a solution!

Wishing I could give these hugs in person. XOXO
