Chance and his cousin, Mister Higgins!

At the beginning of September, Sean and I took our first vacation without Chance so he went back to the breeders for a vacation of his own. It's a lovely open space with lots of dogs and kids to play with and our breeder is absolutely wonderful so we knew he'd be in great hands. While there, Chance befriended his cousin, seven-week old Mister Higgins, who did a marvelous job of looking after him while we were gone. When we got back, Sean planned to capture Chance's reaction to us returning, but Chance didn't seem to care that we'd been gone (or that we were back) so we recorded the new puppy instead, with some guest appearances by Chance.

Chance loved the puppy so much, he tried to mark him as his.

Thats exactly what I was thinking too. Even when I watched it the first time.

Haha... we live in a condo that passed a "grandfathering" clause that forbids new dogs. We were actually really lucky to bring Chance home when we did. We had been in convo with his breeder for a while and he was ready to come home a week before the clause went into effect. They've kicked people out of our building for bringing in new dogs. (Unbelievable, in my opinion.) What sucks is that the people who passed the rules just "cannot understand why people would move instead of just giving up the dog". :s

If it weren't for that nonsense, I'd probably have joined a foster group (at very least) by now, or brought home a sibling for Chance.

I somehow missed that vid the first time...LOVE the theme music! OMG. Fabulous! Mr. Higgins is a doll baby. My favorite part was his "stretchy stretch" at :46. So cute.
