He got ahold of a pair of old work boots... Needless to say he forgot any other toy exists. Just over 13 weeks now.

To be honest, he was chewing my current ones which were nasty, so I gave him an old pair that the toes were out of; but we're clean for him to chew. 😂

Must like da smell :lmaogirl::lmaogirl::lmaogirl:

Not a good idea to give old shoes to puppy, he will learn from this experience that shoes are a good chewing toy and later on it will be extremely difficult to explain him why you don't want him to chew a new pair of shoes. So, any shoes should be a big no-no from the very childhood, especially because they are so attractive for dogs due to smell:yes:

Oh, cute photo but will definitely have to agree with Lalaloopsie !

Be-careful of those socks too a choke issue there and it would happen real quick
It is scent related your it Chris in Obie,s life so he smells you on something he will go for it , we have had some sad stories here about socks and Bulldogs

Ohhhhhh Obie.......I would certainly have a hard time saying no to you too......But.......

My pups always had their own pair of old work shoes! Since I always kept my shoes in the closet,they enjoyed the pair they had,and never learned to take any others! ObietheWan

Sadly its true... the socks... stay far far away. Tyson ate 3 socks, got horribly sick, had to have surgery. Don't remind me :(

Just keep socks away from Obie, and anything small enough for him to eat. You'd be so surprised, they will try to swallow anything that fits. Ugh.

Thanks everyone for the heads up and precautions. Such a great group you all are.
